Description

This is a permanent full-time leadership position that is an active member of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the Executive Director. This position implements and coordinates primary healthcare programs and services within the organization, promotes the concept of primary healthcare within the community and is responsible for the administration and management of clinical services at the Co-operative Health Centre. The position ensures an optimal level and quality of service, adequate staffing levels to meet program needs and manages financial and human resources for the areas of responsibility that are consistent with the Co-operative Health Centre policies.

Specific areas of knowledge, skills and experience include:
Implementation of primary health care programs and services
Efficient and effective delivery of program services and the management of related resources
Strong critical thinking, financial and analytical skills
Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity
Promotes innovation, guides change and is committed to continuous improvement
Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example
Ability to coach and develop others
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Is committed to patient and family centered care
Excellent organizational, administrative, computer skills and working knowledge/experience with software programs
Ensures contractors/employees meet and adhere to standards, guidelines and legislation required by their professional associations and governing bodies
Develops and monitors program goals and objectives including identifying performance indicators and program evaluation

The successful candidate will have three years related experience in a supervisory, managerial role or will have a combination of post- secondary education with experience in health care administration.
