The Fort QuAppelle Housing Authority is currently hiring a full time Maintenance Technician. The position will appeal to a self-starter, skilled in building maintenance and property grounds work.
What you will do:
Conduct building checks and perform building maintenance, service, and repairs
Monitor boiler systems
Coordinate contractors as needed
Prepare vacant units for occupancy
Grounds maintenance lawncare and snow removal
What we are looking for:
Experience monitoring and repairing building mechanical equipment
Ability to perform custodial and maintenance work
Experience in a variety of trades: carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting and light electrical
Ability to lift heavy loads
Basic computer skills
What you will bring
Proven hand-on skills in maintenance and repairs
Technical training in a building trade (carpentry, plumbing or electrical) is an asset
A valid drivers license and suitable roadworthy vehicle; expenses related to vehicle use for Housing Authority business will be reimbursed
An approved Enhanced Police Information Check (EPIC) is required upon hire
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after hour emergencies
Ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
