Are you a First Nations or Mtis Nation arts worker in Northern Saskatchewan whos passionate about instructing arts in your community? We're excited to announce our new mentorship programCultural Foundations!
This program offers professional mentorship, cultural knowledge, and hands-on skill-building in traditional art forms like quillwork, leatherwork, and beadwork. Facilitated by Holly Yuzicapi, a Cultural Artist from Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, its an opportunity to expand your skills and help preserve our cultural traditions.
Program Schedule: January 16 - May 11, 2025, with weekend sessions in Prince Albert (travel and accommodation covered).
PROGRAM SCHEDULE
Arts workers will travel from their home communities to Prince Albert to participate in five weekend-long sessions. The schedule for each weekend is as follows:
Fridays: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (to allow for travel from rural and remote regions)
Saturdays: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sundays: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (to allow for travel home)

ARTS WORKERS TRAINING COMPENSATION
Those selected to take part in this opportunity will be compensated for participating in the Prince Albert workshops. Additionally, mileage and hotels will be covered for participants.
