Hours of Work: In a 3 week rotation : 14 shift(s) of 7.77 hours
Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band 7, $38.963 to $45.34 (5 step range)

Reporting to the Provincial or Site Leader of Supportive Care the Clinical Oncology Social Worker is responsible for providing psychosocial consultation, clinical assessment, clinical intervention and counseling services to patients and families.  This position actively participates in department education programs and is expected to adopt the interdisciplinary model, which defines the department and participates in a manner that embraces this model.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Indigenous Social Work.
- Valid driverss license.

Experience:
- Three (3) years supervised counseling experience in the field of
  Psychosocial Oncology or related experience
- Candidates with two (2) years experience and a Masterss Degree in
  Social Work or Indigenous Social Work may be considered.  

Membership: Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.

Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in the recognized social work methodologies
  of counseling, group work, and community development.
- Knowledge of community, social and health care programs within the
  province.
- Communication skills required to develop and present complex
  information including written documentation and verbal
  presentations.
- Ability to plan and deliver education programs to patients, the
  public and other health care workers.
- Initiative and independent judgment required to solve complex
  problems.
