Description

Brandt Developments Ltd. has a position available for a Lead Mechanical Engineer at the Regina location. This position is responsible for the design and approval of Mechanical Engineering works and preparing reports, estimates, and contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for the design and approval of Mechanical Engineering works associated with the construction of new buildings and renovations projects
Responsible for the design and detailing of Mechanical elements for all projects, including plans, technical details, and specifications
Lead the Mechanical design team as required through projects
Review and investigate preliminary Engineering options during the planning and schematic design process
Coordinate with sub-consultants
Preparation of cost estimates, tender contract documents, and Engineering reports
Prepare conceptual and detailed design calculations, layouts, sketches, and specifications which meet Brandts needs, and which comply with sound Engineering practices and standards
Investigate field and design problems and prepare reports
Review, evaluate, and improve upon Engineering designs, drafting, schematics, and specifications
Perform the heating & cooling load calculations as required
Prepare Revit/AutoCAD drawings for Mechanical systems including layouts, schematics, and construction details

Required Experience:

Must have experience with AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD software
8+ years experience in a Consulting Office preferred
