Description

Primary Function:
The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Researcher/Analyst II within the Childrens Programs department. The successful applicant will be responsible for data collection, tracking, and reporting to ensure that valid, reliable accurate and complete data is collected and available for the purposes of reporting to the First Nations of Saskatchewan. Provide research, technical or analytical information and provide written documentation for briefings, updates, forward planning towards the development and implementation of policies and/or programs within the Health and Social Development (HSDS) Secretariat. Work closely with team members to leverage expertise and ensure completion of deliverables on time and within budget.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage projects and deliverables.
Works independently with minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and significant knowledge of issues impacting First Nations programming for children.
Coordinate and provide recommendations for policies, regulations, strategies, programs, or services.

Research and Study

Design methods and techniques for the collection, examination, and compilation of data.
Analyze and evaluate data.
Determine the nature of the research.
Study research undertaken elsewhere and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses in application to conditions prevailing in the subject under research.
Consult with academic and professional authorities concerning problems encountered in research
