Description

The suitable candidates will be able to fulfill the following duties/responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day operations of our Early Childhood Program in La Ronge;
Ensure all groups/rooms have sufficient staff during operational hours;
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and staff;
Coordinate staff breaks and annual leaves, while ensuring proper coverage in program areas;
Provide guidance and direction to staff to meet standards and expectations;
Make decisions and act in fast paced environment;
Foster and support strong positive relationships with parents, children and employees;
Learn and support Early Childhood Program principles and philosophies;
Provide work plans and progress to the Immediate Supervisor;
Act as an Early Childhood Worker when required to meet ratios;
Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications/abilities:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent;
Must have a minimum of Level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma, or other 2-year diploma in Office Ed/Business Administration
6 months-2 years previous experience
A combination of Education and Experience may be considered;
Experience using technology and data base systems effectively;
Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS and Food Safety Handlers Certificate is an asset;
Personal experience as parent or caregiver of infants and/or young children;
Ability to speak /understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture is an asset;
Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
Must have Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and a Drivers Abstract
