Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation (SPSF) is an independent charity dedicated to enhancing learning opportunities for the students of Saskatoon Public Schools and celebrating the vital role that public education plays in our society.  

SPSF is seeking a full-time Development Manager as soon as possible. The individual should be enthusiastic and willing to work collaboratively with a team in a dynamic environment. There is opportunity for growth and leadership within the organization. Passion for supporting public education and students is essential. The Development Manager will report directly to the CEO of Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation

Under the direction of the CEO, this position is responsible for ensuring SPSF donors are appropriately recognized for their contributions and increasing engagement and support within school communities through initiatives. The Development Manager will engage with school communities as well as ensure positive relations with the broader community: donors, volunteers, and leaders.
The position is funded by SPSF and designated as an out-of-scope position of Saskatoon Public Schools, with benefits as such. Salary is competitive and is negotiable based on experience.

The successful candidate will have:
    Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare a variety of correspondence, proposals, reports, and documentation of a specialized, confidential nature.
    Ability to foster effective relationships with SPSF and SPS staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and the public.
    Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
    Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    Project-management skills and experience with developing and managing budgets
    Skill in the effective use of Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software (i.e. eTapestry, Blackbaud, etc.)
    Experience with Canva and newsletter software is an asset.
