Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:  
The Community Sports Coach Assistant will aid the Community Sports Coach  
Coordinator, they will assist with sports activities for the youth at Chief Kahkewistahaw Community School (CKCS) as well as the community of Kahkewistahaw First Nation. They will be organized, highly motivated, and focused on providing members with satisfactory and enjoyable programming. They will also help organize teams, help with programs, supervise athletes and adhere to the policies as per the Kahkewistahaw Sports & Recreation Policy. This position is intended to be a flexible schedule as evenings, and weekends will be required for certain programming.  
1.Plan, program and execute recreational and culture programming for Kahkewistahaw First Nation members, such as youth programs, community events, holiday youth and adult activities, little league/beginner sports, cultural activities and more.  
2.Supervise field trips, provide transportation for programming, and ensure safety of all participants.  
3.Maintain a record of students involved, incident reports and statistics as well as any other documentation needed for any recreational programming/events.  
4.Coordinates scheduling of staff, parents and volunteers for special events and activities for year-round and seasonal recreational programs.  
5.Complete and submit all Sports, Culture & Recreation Assistance forms to Finance and keep a copy on file.
