The Role
The Sr. Specialist, Transportation Safety is a key position in our SHEQ Transportation & Regulatory Relations department.

In this role, you will:
-Be responsible for ensuring that legal regulatory compliance, both for national and international radioactive materials and other dangerous goods transport regulations are followed
-Work in a proactive manner to develop, exercise and lead emergency preparedness and response to transport incidents with an emphasis on Camecos radioactive products
-Manage the physical security program for people and assets at all Saskatoon locations, along with overseeing and providing procedural training to contracted security staff
-Maintain effective partnerships with local and federal government agencies,

Required:  
-Degree in physical/earth sciences
-Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training
-Five to eight years of relevant progressive experience
-Extensive background in safety, handling of dangerous goods, radiation safety, and emergency response as well as experience in both developing and conducting training
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered

Recommended:
-Public communication experience would be considered an asset
