Essential Functions of the Job
1. Spot and weld assemblies
2. Proper handling and safe use of jigs
3. Cleaning welds and removal of splatter
4. Follow through with First Part Checked procedure
5. Identifying weldment with assigned stamp
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area
7. Maintain schedule and deadline requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to read shop drawings
Ability to follow safe work procedures
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision
Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication and weld process
Ability to get along well with others
Good communication skills
Knowledge of small hands tools, impacts and air tools
Working Conditions:
Standing for long amounts of time
Frequent stooping, reaching
Moving over uneven, rough ground
Climbing ladders and stairs
Lifting or carrying 50lbs
Performing physical labor for long periods of time
Pushing, pulling or dragging up to 50lbs
Working outside in the elements (cold, hear, rain, snow)
Must be eligible work legally in Canada.
