Description

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for an temporary Administrative Assistant for P.J Gillen School. Administrative Assistants provide clerical support to staff and assist parents and other visitors in a friendly and approachable manner.

Assignment and Term:

This position is a temporary full-time job. The position consists of 7.5 hours and will be in accordance with the Administrative Assistant school calendar.

The position commences January 6, 2025 and expires June 27, 2025. The work schedule will be determined by the Principal or designate. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member.
Knowledge and experience with accounting is an asset, along with the ability to learn quickly, utilize technology, and work collaboratively with others.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
