The Senior Process Optimization Engineer will bring engineering expertise and leadership to enhance our milling processes, ensuring they are efficient, effective and uphold the highest standards and regulations. General Scope of Duties:
-Recommend and implement engineering processes and procedures
-Conduct risk assessment of designs and circuits
-Participate in the development of feasibility studies, value engineering and cost estimates
-Identify opportunities for improvement
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Duties:
-Lead and oversee the OCI GHG initiative and manage the project portfolio
-Set objectives, goals and metrics to measure success
-Lead a comprehensive approach to energy and emission reduction
-Supervise and mentor process engineer(s) in energy optimization activities
-Provide expertise and support for process optimization at site:
-Identify and address process inefficiencies within the plant circuits
-Maintain a technical presence in the field
-Prioritize Process Safety to ensure the safe flow of product/chemicals, enhancing the overall safety of the facility
Skills and Qualifications:
-Degree in engineering
o Must be registered or eligible for registration as a P. Eng
-Technologists with industrial experience will be considered
-Experience managing or implementing carbon reduction initiatives is an asset
-Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Process Safety Management (PSM) are assets
