Description

The Touchwood Child and Family Services is seeking a Dedicated, Policy driven, Compassionate Individual to fill the position of Human Resources Manager.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Human Resource Manager will be responsible for reviewing and possibly revising, implementing and evaluating Personnel Policies, Procedures and Programs.
Remaining within the parameters of the Federal and Provincial Labor Standards and Laws, the Human Resource Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Policies and Procedures in a fair and equitable manner.
The required qualifications may not be limited to the following summary:
-A university diploma or degree in Business Administration, commerce, or other related studies with a minimum of 2 years of direct experience OR various related certified workshops and a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the Human Resource field.
-Must have knowledge and experience in working with computers, and databases.
-Knowledge of Group benefits and Pension Programs is a definite asset.
-Knowledge of budgets and position/new program financial plans is a requirement.
- Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality and abide by the TCFS Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- Knowledge of the Cree and Saulteaux Culture and Language is a definite asset.
-Knowledge of the Political and Social Objectives of the member Nations is a definite asset.
-Knowledge of the Objectives and the Aspirations of the Organization is a definite asset.
-Must have demonstrated compassion, empathy and understanding of the possible traumas and past life experiences that may have afflicted First Nation Families.
-Must have the ability to address/speak in front of small and large groups of employees.
- Must submit a current Criminal Record Check which includes a vulnerable Sector check, also a Drug & Alcohol test certified by a qualified and recognized Drug and Alcohol testing Lab.
