MGBHLM First Nation is seeking a Electronic Health Record Coordinator who will be responsible for managing and maintaining electronic health records (EHRs) for patients. Their work ensures accurate and secure documentation of medical information.
Duties:
Maintain and update electronic health records accurately and efficiently
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations
Train healthcare staff on EHR systems and best practices
Preparing the MGBHLM Health Clinic to Go Live in December 2024
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EHR systems
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize EHR usage and workflow
Develop and implement EHR policies and procedures
Monitor EHR system performance and make recommendations for improvement
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of EHR technology and industry developments
Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of electronic health records (EHR) specifically Telus Med Access software and systems
Knowledge of medical terminologies and coding
Excellent data entry and management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
Ability to analyze and interpret medical data
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance
Experience in training and educating healthcare professionals on EHR usage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with healthcare providers and patients
