In this role within the MERA (Mill Engineering, Reliability and Asset Management) Department, youll oversee the field execution of a variety of mechanical and structural projects, while also managing small electrical and instrumentation scopes. Youll play a key role in coordinating contractors on-site, facilitating toolbox talks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and conducting regular inspections to maintain compliance with the HSE program. You will coordinate logistics and resource requirements, and provide site support, ensuring projects remain on schedule. Responsibilities:
-Contractor Management duties:
o Participate in assigned daily tool box talks with the Contractor
o Review the contractors job risk analysis processes
o Complete inspections of worksites
o Participate in incident investigations
-MERA shutdown activities, including:
o Coordinate with appropriate parties to ensure the mobilization and availability of all shutdown-related labour, plant equipment, training resources and logistics are scheduled
-Oversee project material handling:
o Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials on and off-site
Skills and Qualifications:
-A valid inter-provincial Journeyperson ticket or post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) is preferred but all applicants with applicable experience will be considered
-5+ years of industrial project experience is required
-Experience managing contractors and/or multi trade construction is required

-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
