The Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is seeking TWO individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference, energetic and highly motivated for the position of Casual/Part-Time After-Hours Family Support Worker. The After-Hours Family Support Worker will be responsible for providing after hours support services to families in the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation community. In this position, you will assist and support after hours programming in the community. This may require transport of families, lifting and carrying small children, and will require flexible hours. The successful candidates will also be responsible to provide after-hours emergency services for families and respond to crisis situations within the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. You will be on a weekly rotation with another After-Hours Family Support Worker. Crisis situations may include contact with the Ministry of Social Services, RCMP, Managers within Kinistin Saulteaux Nation organization, and supporting families and community members during these times of crisis. This position will play a support role in the Kisawisowin Program using the Tikinagan Model of Child Care. This model is designed under the principles of traditional methods and adapting these to meet the needs of contemporary society.
