Description

We are currently looking for a full-time employee to work at Haven Kids' House to cover a maternity leave, with a high possibility of permanent employment beyond one year. Hours include both day and night shifts, as it is a 24-hour facility. Must be willing and able to work 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour night shifts. We are seeking a candidate who is excited about committing to this work long-term.

Job duties include childcare for children newborn to age 12, intake procedures (paperwork, documentation, etc.), phone and interpersonal skills for our crisis line, community interactions (community agency interactions, and community donations), housework (cooking, cleaning), and other various jobs.

A general knowledge of community services and resources is a valuable asset. We value diversity in our workplace.

Former childcare experience and a harm-reduction mentality are necessary.  Position also requires applicant to be child focused and self-motivated to play and interact with the children.

Through our programs, we are committed to supporting families to stay together and ensuring that families are successful.
