Description

YWCA Regina is opening a new Integrated Youth Services (IYS) Hub in 2024 and is seeking a dynamic Youth Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Community Programs, the Coordinator will provide support to youth aged 12-25 experiencing complex needs, including mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and those who may be homeless or living in poverty. The Youth Program Coordinator at the IYS Youth Hub is responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, and delivery of programs aimed at supporting youth (ages 12-25) in areas such as mental health, addiction recovery, education, and social well-being. The role requires strong organizational, data management, and relationship-building skills. The coordinator will ensure that programming is accessible, effective, and meets the needs of youth by working collaboratively with other team members and community stakeholders to build a comprehensive suite of programs and program partners. The role of the coordinator may vary based on the needs of the community and program growth and may also include specific projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Two-year post-secondary diploma in a related field (ex. education, social or human services, child and youth work, family studies etc.) and/or relevant work experience.
Experience working with vulnerable peoples specifically youth ages 12-25
Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
Familiarity with trauma-informed care, harm reduction principles, and Indigenous cultural traditions.
Demonstrated experience working with individuals with complex care needs, including youth experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, or substance use.
Strong case management and counselling skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
