Transitional Support Professionals
16 hours per week, working night awakes.
The Transitional Support Professional provides critical services to the people supported by Karis Disability Services Designated Treatment Programs and works to ensure that people belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and respected. Support individuals returning to community with daily living, skill development and personal goals. Experience with trauma informed supported, mental health and addictions an asset. Requirements: Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check, access to reliable transportation. Preferred: Minimum one year in developmental services, Developmental Services Worker Diploma (DSW) or Apprenticeship, Child and Youth Care Diploma (CYC) or Apprenticeship (preferred),equivalent Diploma or Degree in Human Services, Community Mental Health, Behavioural Sciences, Behavioural Science Technology, Behaviour Analysis/technologist, Police Foundations Diploma, Social Service Worker, Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, Autism and Behavioural Science, Educational Support, Social Work, Psychology, or Honours Applied Science in Family and Community Social Services) (asset) Skills and Required Training: Emergency First Aid/, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or equivalent.
