Summary
The Family Support Worker will work closely with the families of the Witchekan Lake First Nation, building personal rapport and encouraging program participation.
Goals
1) Strengthen parenting skills
2) Educate parents on the developmental stages of children
3) Assist in preventing or reducing harmful environments for children
4) Assist families in finding resources applicable to their unique needs
5) Assist in stabilizing the family home in periods of crisis
6) Maximize the likelihood of keeping children in their homes and out of the Child Welfare System
