Description

Ranch Ehrlo Society has an exciting volunteer opportunity opening at Sport Venture! If you are looking for a chance to impact the lives of young people, then we have a spot for you! Volunteering is direct way for you to give back to your community, positively impact the lives of others and use your leadership skills. We are currently recruiting volunteer Outdoor Hockey coaches for our barrier-free community league to work alongside our Staff Ambassadors who will support you in your role.

As an Outdoor Hockey Coach, you will support players to reach their full potential using the power of sport. The role of a coach within our program includes developing skills and drills, but more importantly, we value the positive mentorship and relationship building that occurs between the player and coach. Sessions also focus on developing social skills, cooperation and teamwork. Your role will include assessing participants abilities and provide skill development opportunities that meets their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs. You will be expected to model and teach the values of fair play and ethical behavior always. You will motivate athletes through praise and positive recognition, and work towards developing the athletes self-worth, confidence and autonomy. Our coaches focus on our players strengths while offering safe space to play and have fun! If this sounds like you, and you are ready to make a positive impact on the lives of our players,
then please apply!

The program will run from January - March 2025, we will expect 2 hours commitments as we have various practices weekly.
