This position involves providing support to 39 residents with Complex Needs, however will have a caseload of 8 CLSD residents. This position includes responsibilities such as taking residents to appointments, shopping, meal preparation, social/recreational activities, facilitating educational groups, and assisting with budgeting, monthly reporting, conducting assessments and compiling annual Wellness Plans. In this position, you will be working under the direction of the McEwen Manor and CLSD Program Manager with the goal of providing case management and everyday support services, as well as provide leadership to a full-time support worker with the CLSD Program, and casual support workers.
Additionally, they are responsible for providing one-to-one counselling, in the areas of mental health cognitive strategies, personal safety strategies, goal setting, problem solving, problematic substance use, relapse prevention, etc. Shift work required. Must have a valid drivers license.
This position is a full-time 18 month term position.
Post-secondary education required in a related field (psychology, sociology, human justice, Social Work).
