We are seeking passionate, energetic, and experienced EAs to join our team and provide one-on-one support to a child with diverse needs. Youll work collaboratively with the Inclusion Coordinator, parents, and supporting professionals. This is a term contract until June 30th, 2024 with the option to renew.
Qualifications:
-Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or willingness to take classes towards ECE Level I)
-Preference for candidates with an EA certificate, ECE Certificate, or Diploma
-Valid First Aid & CPR certifications
-Current, clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 3 months)
-Experience with children with diverse needs (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one support to a child with diverse needs
-Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and professionals
-Maintain accurate records of the childs progress
-Attend professional appointments (e.g., SLP, Behavior Consultant)
-Ensure a clean, organized environment and maintain supervision
Skills & Competencies:
-Passion for working with young children
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Work Schedule and Compensation:
--EA 1: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, with occasional shifts from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm on no-school days/holidays
--EA 2: 11:30 am - 5:30 pm, with occasional shifts from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm on no-school days/holidays
Hours may increase or decrease based on the child's schedule
Wage: $15 - $28.50/hour, based on qualifications
