Job Type:  Day/Evening/Night Shelter Attendant

Reports To: Stepping Stones Manager

Responsibilities: To assist and supervise clients utilizing the Shelter positively and respectfully. This is an important role within our organization as you will be part of a frontline team of staff, working with our citys most vulnerable population. It is also a stepping stone opportunity for diligent employees to advance to permanent careers at the YWCA Prince Albert.

Qualifications:
Experience working with at-risk individuals;
Security Experience is an asset;
Must be reliable and willing to learn;
CPR/First Aid certified/willing to be trained;
Must pass YWCA Security Screening (CPIC & Vulnerable Sector Check);
Able to work independently with little supervision;
Must have a Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License; those without a class 5 drivers license need not apply.

Remuneration: $22.62 per hour.

Duties:
Intake of Individuals accessing shelter;
Supervision of Clients in the Shelter Area;
Attending to crises as they arise;
Ensuring the safety of clients, contacting police or ambulance as necessary;
Providing information on available services in the community;
Light meal preparation;
Reporting as required;
Providing feedback to management on shelter operation;
Follow established policies and procedures of Stepping Stones Shelter;
Follow YWCA Policies and Safety Procedures;
Maintain confidentiality;
Cleaning Duties as required;
All other duties as requested;

Probation: All YWCA Prince Albert positions contain a three-month probation period.
