About Us:

West Ridge Childcare Centre cares for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years and is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. We are closed on all statutory holidays, including Boxing Day. Our program follows the Play and Exploration curriculum, supporting child-led learning.

Position Details:

This role is casual and on-call. You will mainly be scheduled when regular staff are unavailable due to sickness. Hours may varysometimes we may have a lot, and at other times fewer hoursbut we will try to provide as many shifts as possible.

Responsibilities include:

-Planning and leading age-appropriate, child-directed activities
-Setting up engaging learning environments
-Observing and supervising children
-Supporting childrens needs, including behavior management
-Working as part of a team
-Documenting childrens progress
-Building relationships with children, families, and coworkers

Requirements:

-A clear, current Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 3 months) is required prior to the interview. Please submit this with your resume, if possible.
-Preferred (but not required):
--ECE Level I, II, or III certification
--Current First Aid & CPR
--Food Safe certification

Important:

If you do not have your ECE Level I, you must be willing to enroll in classes to obtain it.

Compensation:

No ECE: $15.00/hour
ECE Level I: $20.10/hour
ECE Level II: $24.00/hour
ECE Level III: $28.50/hour
