We are seeking a full-time Ag Mechanic for a grain farm in South east Saskatchewan. Applicant would be responsible for maintenance on all farm equipment as we as ordering parts and supplies needed. Applicant must be willing to work long hours/weekends/holidays in seeding, spraying, harvest season. Hours will be more flexible in the winter months. Applicant must be willing to operate ag equipment during the farming season. Competitive salary base pay (based on experience) in a safe, stable working environment, health benefits, and potential for company vehicle to be provided for right candidate. On the job training and assistance to find housing nearby will be provided.
Applicants must:
-Work well independently and with a team
-Be physically fit for a daily combination of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, etc.
-Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers license Class 3A and/or 1A drivers license a definite asset.
-Have farm equipment operation experience
-Be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather
-Submit a criminal record check for review and approval.
-Journey person in AG or Heavy Duty 2 to 3 years of work experience in a relevant position (Agricultural Heavy-Duty Technician)
-Minimum Level 3 or 4-year Apprentice
-Basic to above average computers skills and a passion for problem solving
-Ability to complete detailed repair order notes on each job
-The desire to continue learning updated equipment technology as the industry continues to evolve
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-A self starter and work under minimal supervision
