The Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is seeking an enthusiastic, committed individual to fill the position of Finance Clerk. Under the direct supervision of and directly reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Clerk will be responsible for a large number payroll, benefits, accounting, financial and administrative duties. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience which will enable him or her to provide guidance, technical assistance and support to the Program Manager and Kinistin Saulteaux Nation Finance team. The primary responsibility of this position is to work as part of a team in the areas of finance and accounting, reporting and communication.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance of a chart of accounts for all program activities;
Managing the organizations accounts payable and accounts receivable on a regular basis;
Ensuring that up-to-date program and accounting files are maintained, including payment summary and information files; and
Weekly cheque run and purchase order processing
Performing other duties related to the financial operation of the corporation as required.
Qualifications
Must possess a minimum two year Accountancy or Business Administration Diploma.
Must have an excellent working knowledge of and skill in Sage 300 (ACCPAC Advantage Series) software.
Must demonstrate skills in PC software applications, specifically the MS Office programs (Excel and Word).
Must be able to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Must have a clear and current CPIC (Canadian Criminal Records Check) including a vulnerable sectors check.
