Description

The Planning and Development Clerk would work as part of a team and be responsible to address the day-to-day development and planning needs of the municipality.

Primary Responsibilities:
As the Planning and Development Clerk you will be responsible for:
* Handling inquiries relating to planning, development and land use.
* Review and process applications related to permitted and discretionary uses, rezoning, subdivisions, comprehensive development reviews, building permits, and OCP and Zoning Bylaw amendments.
* Research and prepare written reports and presentations for Council and external stakeholders on issues and topics related to planning and development.
* Reviewing and analyzing government publications, policy documents, legislation and regulations related to planning.
* Draft enforcement letters and orders.
* Prepare servicing, development, easement and other agreements.
* Prepare planning and development related Bylaws, forms, map changes to meet legislative requirements.
* Prepare communications related to planning matters including newsletters, mailouts, forms, procedures, maps and other graphic presentations, web page content, newspaper advertisements, and other related materials.
* Support with economic development and long-range strategic planning.
* Provide excellent customer service in a positive and informative way.
* Perform other duties as required by the Administrator/CAO.

Qualifications
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Canva would be considered an asset.
* Experience in a municipal setting and familiarity with land use concerns relevant to rural Saskatchewan would be considered an asset.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
