Description

The Turtleford Early Learning Center is a non-profit daycare that provides care for children
between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old. We also have an After-School Program for children
from 5 (last day of Kindergarten) to 12. TELC is currently seeking applications to hire a
premanent, full-time Director to manage the day-to-day operations, including overseeing
developmentally appropriate play-based programming and leadership of the staff. The
positions start date could be October 15, 2024, or a mutually agreed-upon date. Wage and
benefits are negotiable and will be based on education and experience. The yearly salary will
start anywhere from $40,000 to $60,000.
Education and Other Requirements
Two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE Level III) at a recognized college or
equivalent
Valid First Aid/CPR-C (or wilingness to obtain)
Criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check (within two weeks of start
date)
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid Drivers License
Skills and Abilities
Management experience and the ability to provide quality leadership to team members
Experience in an early learning and childcare environment
Strong communication (oral and written), organizational and administrative skills
Computer skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
Understanding of the Child Care Regulations, 2015, and the Child Care Act, 2014
Experience working with a non-profit Board of Directors
Experience in record keeping
