PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Manager, Events & Communications will lead the planning and delivery of SSA competitions as well as the execution of the annual marketing and communications strategies.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Events:
Develop and execute the annual calendar of competitions
Budget development and reconciliation for all competitions
Maintain and update competitions policies and rulebooks
Monitor, maintain, and enforce deadlines and policy requirements
Provide leadership to support member participation in Canada Soccer National Club Championships

Communications:
Develop an effective marketing and communications strategy
Develop and manage content for the organizations website and social media platforms
Lead regular member communications
Lead the development and release of Annual Reports
Execute all communications at all SSA events
Lead the SSA Awards and support the execution of the SSA Awards Banquet


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills working across multiple projects
Strong computer skills  proficient with MS Office, MS 365, knowledge of photo/video editing software
Experience in management of competitions or events
Ability to build relationships with stakeholders using organizational, communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
Knowledge of the soccer landscape in Saskatchewan and Canada is an asset
Post-secondary degree in sports management, kinesiology, marketing, communications or relevant work experience in related field
