Description

MGBHLM Construction is seeking Carpenters to fill positions at our MGBHLM Economic Development Corp. Ltd. property. Under the direction of the Construction Manager, the Carpenter is responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair work on buildings, offices, houses, and other structures on the MGBHLM Economic Development Corp. Ltd. property. A strong attention to detail and a very good knowledge of different carpentry materials is required.
Duties:
Responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair work on MGBHIM property and Assets.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures as required.
Assist the Construction Manager with structural design, planning, layout, and
on projects.
Assist the construction Manager in providing costs and quotes for projects.
  Must be ready and willing to work daily, well rested, enthusiastic, ability to multitask and put in a full day's work
Ability to climb ladders and perform roof and gutter repairs.
Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment related to construction.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
Ability to lift 90 lbs.
Completion of daily task sheets and work orders.
Assist Construction Manager and staff with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
A high school diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or a minimum of 6 years experience as a skilled carpenter.
Good communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
Valid Driver's License/own a reliable vehicle.
Able to provide a clear drivers abstract.
Must provide a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
