A Peer Support Worker is a trained individual with lived mental health/addictions experience, shared with individuals who engage in our Peer Support program, working towards recovery and seeking additional support.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and facilitating peer led group meetings, peer to peer group meetings, and providing one to one peer support to those referred to the program.
Collaborating with other trained Peer Support Workers on the Peer Support team across Saskatchewan.
Participate in delivering and facilitation of educational sessions in various formats and within varying hours of delivery.
Maintaining accurate and complete records with monthly reporting.
Engages in training and development requirements and opportunities.
Promotion of the Peer Support Program and CMHA Battlefords other programs and services.
Eligibility for this position requires you to be in recovery from a significant mental health and/or addiction illness and willing to speak about your experience and have the required training in line with the Peer Support Canada knowledge standard.

Requirements:
Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
Criminal records and vulnerable sector check provided upon offer of employment.
Permanent Canadian Resident, residing in the Battlefords.
Special Considerations:
Peer Support Certification, First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, ASIST.
