Join our team as a Occupational Health Nurse at our McClean Lake site, where youll play a pivotal role in employee health and safety. This is a hands-on position where youll conduct client assessments, lead health training initiatives, and manage preventative health programs. Responsibilities:
-Perform client assessment, planning, implementation of care, and on-going evaluation
-Administrate the medical surveillance program (annual testing/annual medicals) for compliance with company requirements
-Liaise with the company doctor
-Facilitate First Aid training and health and wellness sessions
-Manage preventive health programs including immunizations
-Revise and create procedures and work instructions
-Compile and submit injury statistics reports
-Perform health inspections
-Participate in emergency training exercises with the Emergency Response Team
-Provide sample collection for substance testing in support of the Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Program
-Administer the Direct Observed Therapy (DOT) procedure for clients with Tuberculosis
Skills and Qualifications:
-Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in SK, preferably with occupational health experience and/or northern nursing experience
-The following training will be provided by Orano as required:
o Spirometry and Audiometry
o Basic Life Support (BLS)
o Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
o First Aid Instructors Certificate
-Previous experience performing ECGs is an asset
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
-Ability to take charge in emergency situations
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake mine site; 11 hour work days
-Regular schedule is 14 days in and 14 days out. Schedule will be agreed upon prior to work
-On-call support is required
