The Trainer is responsible for delivering both specialized internal & 3rd party training programming to new & existing employees. A background in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, and/or Remote Lodging industries is essential. Additionally, the unique and complex needs of workplace, Indigenous, and adult learning in busy & remote worksites must be addressed with confidence.
Administration of training deliveries and completion, as well as use & monitoring of Compliance software is needed. Effective communication with our operations leadership at sites is crucial.
The duties & responsibilities are fulfilled mainly at Northern Saskatchewan worksites; thus, requiring frequent & regular air travel. In addition, driving moderate distances on remote northern roads may be required, so the successful candidate must be comfortable doing so. Occasional visits to our Saskatoon Head Office may be needed.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated in-depth experience facilitating training programs to adult learners, with various learning needs.
- Able to effectively deliver, assess, & administrate training programs.
- Experience using & monitoring compliance software and/or internal databases.
- Understanding of Indigenous culture and workforce, particularly in the North.
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration & consultation with various stakeholders.
- Valid class 5 drivers license, with an acceptable driving record.
- Able to fly out of Saskatoon or Prince Albert is required.
- Able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
