The Esterhazy Housing Authority (EHA) provides a safe, stable, and affordable housing option for seniors, families, individuals, and vulnerable persons. EHA has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Maintenance Worker to join their team. If you are ambitious, results focused, a self-starter and skilled in building and property maintenance we would love to hear from you!
What you will do:
Perform building maintenance services and repairs;
Prepare units to rent ready condition;
Groundskeeping and maintaining housing authority equipment and inventory.
What you will bring:
Knowledge of the basic techniques employed in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and light electrical.
Experience servicing and repairing building mechanical equipment.
Ability to use hand and power tools and lift heavy loads.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills along with respect for the differences of individuals.
Ability to organize and participate in an on call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment.
A willingness to complete a Firemans Training Certificate is required
