Description

Peters Excavating has been serving Saskatchewan since 1956. We are a fast-growing, locally owned company with a family feel.
Peters Excavating specializes in earth work and excavation, road and street construction, demolitions and concrete removal, topsoil stripping and grading, storm sewer installation and snow removal.
We are currently seeking a hardworking, self-motivated, energetic individual with an eye for detail who takes pride in a job well done to fill a position as a Mechanic.

Responsibilities

    Responsible for following the policies and procedures of Peters Excavating as set by the management team.
    Responsible for positively representing Peters Excavating.
    Responsible for completing assigned projects in an efficient, timely and safe manner.
    Responsible for keeping the shop clean and tidy on a regular basis.
    Responsible for participating in the Health and Safety Program.
    Responsible for the quality of worked performed.
    Responsible for participating in training sessions.
    Responsible for hands on repairs & maintenance of our fleet of trucks and equipment.


Requirements

    Minimum 1 years experience.
    Must have some experience in the heavy industrial mechanical trade and possess some natural ability with mechanical assembly.
    Must be willing to work extended hours.
    Must be willing to work on-site as well as in-shop.
    CSA/Approved Steel toed boots.
    Must hold and maintain a Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
    Detail Oriented.


Skills and Abilities
    Identify and manage repair status of our fleet.
    Great interpersonal skills.
    Ability to take direction and work well with others.
    Report to the Shop Foreman as required.
