Description

The Good Food Box Coordinator will manage and oversee the operations of the Good Food Box program, which provides affordable access to fresh fruits and vegetables for individuals and families in the community. The Coordinator will work closely with community partners, volunteers, and suppliers to ensure the program runs smoothly, addressing food insecurity and promoting healthy eating habits.
o    Coordinate the ordering, packing, and distribution of fresh produce for the Good Food Box program.
o    Manage the program's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
o    Schedule and oversee regular packing days, ensuring efficient operations.
o    Build strong partnerships with community organizations and local businesses to promote and expand the program.
o    Communicate with program participants to provide updates, answer inquiries, and gather feedback.
o    Develop outreach strategies to grow participation and awareness of the program.
o    Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with packing, distribution, and logistics.
o    Ensure that the produce is delivered on time and in good condition to community pick-up points or homes, if applicable.
o    Track participation rates, order volumes, and feedback to assess the program's impact.
o    Prepare regular reports for the Program Manager on program outcomes, challenges, and successes.

      Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
      Ability to manage volunteers and foster a collaborative, positive working environment.
      Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
      Proficiency in basic software primarily Excel (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and familiarity with budgeting tools.
