GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION
The position will manage payroll and provide administrative and functional support to the HR and Finance functions in Weyburn focusing on accurate and timely analysis and reporting on results, KPIs and processes.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Responsible to process bi-weekly hourly unionized payroll and union dues/payments utilizing time and attendance systems to ensure accurate & timely reporting of pay data
Ensure payroll information is compliant with legislation and CBA
Responsible for processing necessary changes related to payroll (eg. Vacation pay, rate changes, benefit premiums, etc.)
Contribute to prepare monthly reports and analyze main KPI accurately (production, inventory, HR and other industrial KPIs) and provide relevant information to plant, business unit and corporate management
Preparation of recurring or specific on-demand reports to support financial, HR and operational performance analysis
Participate in internal and external financial & HR audits to comply with mandatory guidelines, as well as government filing requirements
Participate in the employee engagement annual survey administration and follow-up actions to ensure communication of results and improvements to all employees.
Participates in recruitment activities from job requisition to offer.
Supports manager in performance process including performance reviews cycle, development planning, attendance and performance management, succession planning.
Support manager in pension, benefit & claims administration.
Manage the internal communication plan including employee engagement activities, customer/supplier visits, product launches, CSR initiatives, inclusion & diversity, compliance, corporate announcements etc.
Enhance human resources reporting including but not limited to union grievance reporting, legal reporting, HR scorecard, and monthly reporting.
