Century West Disaster Restoration Ltd. offers full-service property restoration services to residential and commercial property owners. We provide emergency and renovation services in response to fire, water, wind, or sewage damages. We have an exciting opportunity available for an individual seeking a role in a fast-paced growing environment.
As a member of the leadership team, the Controller will play an essential role in the financial activities of the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-leadership and supervision of staff responsible for daily accounting activities
-preparation of monthly financial statements
-analysis and reporting of operating results
-design and maintain internal controls
-prepare annual financial budget
-manage cash flow
-ensure compliance with PST, GST and corporate income tax rules
-ensure compliance with Saskatchewan labour standards and payroll requirements
-manage relationships with banks and professional advisors
Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration
-Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA or equivalent)
-at least 5 years of experience in private business accounting including preparation of payroll
-experience with financial budgeting
-experience with compliance with PST, GST and corporate income taxes
-experience in the construction industry would be preferred
-strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
-proficient in accounting software (SAGE 300 or QuickBooks)
-strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
-high level of attention to detail and accuracy
-excellent written and oral communication skills
