Educational Assistant/ ELA

Mosquito GBHLM First Nation is hiring for (3) qualified full time Educational Assistants who will be working under the supervision of the Mosquito Principal.
Under the direction of the Principal, the Educational Assistant will help in the preparation and presentation of programs; assesses and reports on student progress; supervises student(s) and performs a variety of tasks which are supportive of program delivery.

Qualifications:
-Must have a minimum Grade 12
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-knowledge and skills related to meeting the needs of learners with a range of exceptionalities.
-understand and be sensitive to the obstacles facing the children in your care.
-Must provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector search.
Duties/Responsibilities
-Assist student(s) in developing social, life and learning skills.
-Supervise student(s) in classroom, schoolyard, in the school and on out of school activities as required.
-Provides one-on-one support with children to enhance learning skills.
-ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks.
-Other duties as required.
