SKILLS:
- Be a role model and provide supervision, training, and support
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with team members and clients
- Effective Time Management skills
- Implement existing plans and document outcomes for reporting purposes
DUTIES:
- Administer medications and maintain proper documentation
- Ensure client needs are met
- Assist, support, and coach clients to advocate for themselves
- Organize and participate in activities for the clients
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Ensure Safety standards are followed, be aware of hazards, and respond accordingly
- Prepare and submit reports as required
Staff are to assist with daily living skills including:
- budgeting and spending
- meal preparation and menu planning
- laundry and room/apartment management
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is a MUST; Disability Support Diploma or related field preferred.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
- Clear Vulnerable Sector check from the RCMP
