We are looking to hire a motivated & hard-working raw materials sales associate. In this relationship-based sales role you will report to the General Manager & Ownership Group & will assist in maintaining commitments as we expand. You will grow your territory (& your earnings!) by bringing in new business & developing repeat business relationships within your existing accounts.
If you have a background in industrial manufacturing, steel/ductile/raw materials & distribution & are the kind of person who can talk with everyone from the CEO to the maintenance man on the shop floor, we want to talk with you!
Responsibilities:
-Prospect for new customers & set appointments
-Establish & maintain strategic relationships with customers to identify & leverage the customers business goals.
-Work with management to develop sales strategies & new business prospects
-Engage in direct sales activities, promoting existing & new products
-Attend training & sales meetings as required
-Meet or exceed sales targets
Skills/Requirements:
-Preference will be given to individuals that show a positive demeanor & have sales experience in steel/ductile/raw materials sales
-Conduct themselves in a professional manner
-Displays organizational skills, empathy, effective communicator, listener, confident, strong integrity & emotional intelligence
-Ability to prospect for new clients, very comfortable in cold calling
-Strong communication skills both written & verbal
-Self motivated & the ability to work independently
-Deliver on growth & profitability
-Comfortable in using a CRM tool
-Completion of post-secondary education
-Sales cycle experience, B2B preferable
-Proficient computer skills Epicor or IQMS experience is an asset
