Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. has partnered with Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment (GDI T&E) to hire an Apprentice through the Indigenous Apprenticeship Program. The following recognized trade will be supported:

Heavy Duty Mechanicis required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of all site mobile equipment. They will have the ability to troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, as well as have the ability to repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components.

Qualifications:
Must be qualified to indenture with Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission
Must be eligible for GDITI&Es Indigenous Apprentice Program
Must have a valid drivers license
Must reside in Saskatchewan
Strong mechanical aptitude
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Manual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time
