Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. has partnered with Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment (GDI T&E) to hire an Apprentice through the Indigenous Apprenticeship Program. The following recognized trade will be supported:
Welder-As part of the Maintenance Department, the Welder works as a member of the team to maintain and fabricate site equipment so that the mill operates in an efficient and safe mechanical condition. The welder will have the ability to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
Qualifications:
Must be qualified to indenture with Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission
Must be eligible for GDITI&Es Indigenous Apprentice Program
Must have a valid drivers license
Must reside in Saskatchewan
Strong mechanical aptitude
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Manual dexterity and ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time
