The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Work with the Learning Support Teacher to identify needs, help write Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and schedule small group Land Based Learning (LBL) programming;
Go through LLRIB culture program curriculum and develop a LBL year plan with the LBL team;
Contact parents for meetings so they understand the program. Their childs needs and team roles/parent input;
Help plan the Fall Culture Camp with the LBL team;
Ensure that the road and the site are ready for use;
Regular LBL programming starts after the Fall Culture Camp;
Invite parents for specific activities and traditional foods;
Keep track of grant spending-Request interim budget expenditures in December, end of February and the end of June;
Apply for JP grant annually write all reports required and apply for an extension for April, May and June.
Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Special Education or related experience an asset;
Experience working with Educational staff in a team environment;
Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher Certification or ability to obtain;
Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Must be able to provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;
Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable);
