The SPSA is seeking a diplomatic, flexible, and reliable individuals for the position of Emergency Service Officer, in the Western Response Area in the Land Operations Branch. Headquartered within the Western Response Area which includes Buffalo Narrows, Big River, Ile a la Crosse, Dorintosh, Meadow Lake or Prince Albert. The successful candidate will be providing service to Western Response Area of the province.
The position reporting to the Director of Land Operations will be responsible for:
Working with communities, agencies and professionals to develop and implement Emergency Management, public education and training programs to improve community public safety.
Working with communities, including First Nations, to deliver and evaluate emergency management training and 911 public education.
Conducting workshops and deliver public lectures, facilitate and or support the various emergency management, public safety communications and 911 training programs offered by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.
Supporting or advise municipal officials, fire chiefs, first responders and community volunteers on enquires received regarding emergency management, public safety communications and 911 services, fire protection and fire-investigations; as well as support, and or instruct/train/evaluate fire fighters throughout the province.
