As a member of the MJHA Property Services team, the Building Services/Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in maintaining the highest possible standard of maintenance and repair of all property managed by the Moose Jaw Housing Authority.
All property is located within Moose Jaw at various locations throughout the city.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Education / Experience:
Grade 12 and 3 - 5 years experience in the building maintenance field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Possess a valid Fireman Boiler Operator certificate, or be willing to obtain;
Possess a valid WHMIS certificate, or be willing to obtain.
Demonstrated abilities:
General knowledge of building maintenance, with preference to carpentry skills;
Troubleshoot and problem solve at a general level;
Knowledge and/or experience in working with seniors and/or typical tenants;
Work effectively in a team-based environment.
Other Requirements:
Have a reliable vehicle for daily use;
Valid drivers license.
