Join Our Team as a House Parent!
Are you excited about making a positive difference in the lives of youths? If so, this role could be a perfect fit for you. Were looking for a compassionate and energetic individual to become a House Parent on our team. In this role, youll create a nurturing, comforting, and safe environment within our group living setting. Youll be essential in maintaining household standards for cleanliness, nutrition, and budget management, all while fostering a supportive space for individuals with complex needs, behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, and more.
Duties and Responsibilities
Services
* Develop and execute monthly meal plans.
* Prepare nutritious, high-quality home-cooked meals, snacks, and baked goods. Assist with regular and special occasion meals as needed.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping.
* Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with complex needs.
* Assist in teaching life skills such as self-care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and fostering positive interactions.
* Complete reports and documentation with accuracy and timeliness, following agency standards.
* Undertake other related duties as assigned.
Leadership
* Offer guidance and feedback during morning routines, supporting the team and unit manager.
* Model positive behavior, uphold agency values, and demonstrate fairness.
* Provide support and direction in areas such as housekeeping, seasonal decorating, and meal preparation.
