Description

Twin Flame Counselling & Wellness is looking for a full-time mental health counsellor to add to their team. We are passionate about improving lives, reducing gaps and barriers and working collaboratively with other agencies to support the entire well-being of the clients we serve.

We are looking for someone who is trauma informed, has critical thinking skills, strong communication skills, cultural awareness, ability to crisis response, and most importantly has life skills or the ability to relate to clients on some levels.

Candidate must hold a Master's Degree in counselling or Psychology or have a Bachelor or Master's of Social Work/Indigenous Social work with eligibility to have appropriate registration and governing body. Candidate must pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance and acquire professional liabilityinsurance before start date.

This position is for an independent contractor Private Practice Counsellor who would like an opportunity to have their own flexible schedule yet be part of a supportive team that models self-care, debriefing, training and retreat opportunities. A full-time receptionist is included that supports our counsellors and therapists by providing booking, billing, payment and general admin support.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
*Experience with counselling, addiction, trauma or other modalities an asset
*Establish therapeutic relationships coming from a trauma informed lens with respect, and confidentiality and building trust
*Provide therapy to individuals, or group settings
*Ability to do crisis and distress counselling
*Development of skills and strategies to support clients with issues
*Work collaboratively with other agencies and organizations ensuring our clients receive a wraparound experience to reduce barriers and gaps they may be facing
